Cebu and Bohol in 7 days: two bases and one careful crossing
A week split between Cebu and Bohol can work if you keep the list short and solve the return first. This route prioritises Cebu heritage and one Bohol countryside or marine focus, with Panglao as the second base. It leaves out southern Cebu and northern island extensions. If your arrival or departure consumes most of a day, reduce the outing list instead of compressing every transfer.

- Suggested time
- 7 days; suggested 6 nights
- Where to stay
- Cebu City and Alona/Tawala, Panglao
- Season and timing
- Check the forecast and route-specific official notices before each outdoor or marine outing. Regional climate patterns do not guarantee conditions on your travel date.
The short answer
Use days 1–2 for Cebu, day 3 for the complete Tagbilaran-to-Panglao arrival, days 4–5 for one main outing and a quieter coast day, day 6 for the final gateway return and day 7 for departure. A direct TAG departure can simplify the exit if your actual tickets support it; no such flight is assumed.
Days 1–2: one Cebu heritage block
Arrive through CEB and take the confirmed transfer to the selected Cebu City hotel. Quest provides an actual city lodging example. Keep the first evening near the base, then use the next usable day for a checked heritage route and a seated regional meal.
Compare a city tour only for the itinerary and pickup it actually includes. Do not add a distant southern marine activity before the Bohol crossing. Save the evening for checking the carrier, luggage and next hotel approach.
Day 3: finish both sides of the ferry journey
Confirm the actual Cebu–Tagbilaran service and date, departure wharf and arrival port. OceanJet lists the route, but the booking and current notices establish the service you need. Add the road to the Cebu wharf and the receiving road transfer to Panglao.
The Henann Alona contact establishes an actual coastal lodging anchor; it is separate from the Tagbilaran landing. Keep dinner at the receiving base and leave sightseeing off this transfer day.

Make time for the local food
What to eat and where to look
Kalamay
Sticky rice/coconut sweet; dessert not full lunch.
- Where to look
- Look for Bohol pasalubong shops on the Tagbilaran or Panglao part of the journey; ask which products are locally made and currently stocked.
- Fit it into your day
- Use this as a sweet or drink after a separate main meal on a Bohol land day; do not rely on it as lunch for a ferry or boat outing.
Ask about actual ingredients, availability and dietary suitability; no stock guarantee.
Peanut kisses
Peanut sweet; allergy and packaged ingredients checked.

Days 4–5: choose a Bohol priority
Choose either a verified inland countryside day or a suitable marine outing as the priority. With only two full local days, trying to complete every advertised island and inland stop makes the week fragile. Check the actual countryside pickup and wildlife venue before booking.
Use the other day for Panglao downtime and a relaxed meal. Kalamay, peanut kisses and tableya are regional snack/drink leads, not a full lunch. If you choose a boat excursion, review marine warnings and provincial wildlife rules without expecting sightings.

Days 6–7: depart from the gateway you actually booked
Return to Cebu on day 6 if the international ticket requires CEB and keep a usable overnight there. Do not place the essential return crossing on day 7 before an unrelated flight. If the final ticket uses TAG, keep the last overnight appropriately located on Panglao instead.
On day 7 confirm the airport road pickup and terminal against the ticket. If conditions interrupted an outing, retain the departure plan rather than spending the last available time on another uncertain crossing.

Practical questions
Is this week as relaxed as the ten-day version?
It has fewer local days; choose one Bohol focus rather than copying every ten-day outing.
Can I depart directly from TAG?
Only if the actual flight booking supports that exit.
Is Panglao hotel pickup included in a Cebu ferry ticket?
Do not assume it; confirm the arrival road transfer separately.
Can I cross back on my flight day?
This plan returns earlier when CEB is the final gateway.
