Who is responsible
The controller is tsam Inc., Tokyo, Japan. Founder Yuki Ikemori is the responsible person. Please use our contact page for privacy questions or requests.
Browsing the site
AsiaVela has no user accounts or newsletter subscription. You can read the guides without giving us a name or email address. We do not take bookings or payments on this site.
Google Analytics and your cookie choice
The Google Analytics tag loads when a page opens. Until you accept, analytics cookie storage is denied; Google may still receive cookieless requests. Accepting permits Analytics cookies to measure visits and which pages are read. Advertising storage and personalisation remain denied.
Accept or Reject is saved in your browser's local storage as av-consent. Rejecting keeps analytics storage denied and tries to remove this site's first-party Analytics cookies. Your choice remains until you change it or clear your browser storage. Use Cookie settings in the footer to change it at any time.
These buttons control Google Analytics storage. They do not switch off the Stay22 script, hosting requests or font downloads described below.
Messages through the contact form
The form sends your subject, name, email address and message, any company and page URL you provide, and the form's language and page address through FormSubmit to the operator by email. The related page may be filled in from the previous AsiaVela page you visited. We use the message to handle your enquiry; FormSubmit processes the delivery under its own privacy policy.
Stay22 and Viator
Stay22's Let Me Allez script loads on our pages before a cookie choice. Stay22 describes collecting technical data such as IP address, browser and device information from visitors to publisher websites. Accommodation and flight buttons open Stay22 links; experience buttons open Viator. Affiliate links include identifiers for the article, language and link position. These providers apply their own privacy and booking terms. We may earn a commission when you book through a marked link.
Hosting and fonts
Google Firebase Hosting serves the site and processes incoming request data, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect the service. Our pages also request fonts from Google Fonts, which receives network and browser request information. These requests are separate from the Analytics cookie choice. See Google's provider information below for its processing and retention practices.
Purposes, storage and international processing
Analytics cookies are enabled with your consent. Contact messages are used to handle enquiries. Consent can be withdrawn through Cookie settings. Contact messages reach the operator's email; you can request access or deletion through the contact page. We are based in Japan, and external providers may process data in other countries under the arrangements described in their policies.
Your rights
Where the GDPR applies, you may request access to or correction of your personal data and, where the relevant conditions are met, erasure, restriction or portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing, and complain to a data protection authority.
