How much does a trip to Cambodia cost? 2027 budget for 7 days

A week in Cambodia, with four nights in Siem Reap for the temples of Angkor and two in Phnom Penh, is cheap day to day: a Khmer amok with rice costs USD 7.50 at a Siem Reap restaurant and a cappuccino USD 1.50. The fixed costs are what add up: the Angkor pass, the visa and the airport cars, which every visitor pays whatever their budget. This guide prices the whole week at three levels, with every room, meal, ride, ticket, visa and SIM included, then adds the flight from Europe.

The short answer

A 7-day trip to Cambodia (Siem Reap, Angkor and Phnom Penh) in January 2027 costs about USD 545 per person on a budget (about EUR 485), USD 820 mid-range (about EUR 730) or USD 1,520 in comfort (about EUR 1,355), for two people sharing a room, with all meals, airport cars, the bus to Phnom Penh, the three-day Angkor pass, a sunrise tour, museums, the tourist visa, a SIM and a 10% buffer. A return flight from London adds about GBP 900-1,200 per person.

The totals

LevelPer person, about USDFor two, about USD
Budget545 (EUR 485)1,090
Mid-range820 (EUR 730)1,640
Comfort1,520 (EUR 1,355)3,040

These totals cover everything on the ground for the whole week: rooms, three meals and drinks every day, both airport cars, the bus from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh, tuk-tuks and Grab rides, the three-day Angkor pass, a sunrise tour and a day by car on the Big Circuit, the palace and museums in Phnom Penh, the tourist visa, a local SIM and a 10% buffer for snacks, tips and small surprises. Only the international flight is separate, and it is priced at the end. Hotels, tours and tickets in Cambodia mostly publish their prices in US dollars, so this guide uses them too. The National Bank of Cambodia rate on 20 October 2026 was USD 1 = KHR 4,070, and euro figures use the European Central Bank rate of the same day (EUR 1 = USD 1.1215).

Cambodia is not visa-free for Europeans: UK and EU passport holders need a tourist visa (USD 30, for a stay of up to a month), and the totals include it. The e-Arrival form is separate and free. See Cambodia entry requirements. Many hotels have not published rates for January 2027 and some restaurant menus are not online, so those figures are estimates marked "about", based on the rates and menus we could see.
