Siargao 5 days: General Luna with separate surf and island plans
Five days on Siargao should be built around a General Luna base and one priority activity, not a promise to reach every island, lagoon and northern viewpoint. A surf session, an island-hopping outing and a land day have different conditions and providers. Choose them separately after checking ability and the current route. Arrival and departure still need the road journey to Del Carmen.

- Suggested time
- 5 days; suggested 4 nights
- Where to stay
- Tourism Road / General Luna, with the airport approach arranged
- Season and timing
- Check the forecast and route-specific official notices before each outdoor or marine outing. Regional climate patterns do not guarantee conditions on your travel date.
The short answer
Use day 1 for arrival and the General Luna transfer, day 2 for a suitable checked surf or local day, day 3 for a conditional marine outing, day 4 for a land or flexible day and day 5 for departure. Siargao is a named exception in the FCDO regional wording checked on 3 October 2026; that does not guarantee activity safety or cover every mainland transit route.
Day 1: make the airport-to-room journey explicit
Confirm the actual IAO ticket and the road transfer from Sayak airport in Del Carmen to General Luna. Bravo’s official FAQ establishes an actual Tourism Road hotel example. Confirm the booked room and pickup rather than assuming a surf-resort label includes the transfer.
Keep the first evening close to the room and check the next activity directly with its provider. Save the hotel address and departure arrangement offline. Allow for your actual airline’s check-in instructions when arranging the return transfer.
Day 2: choose the surf session for your ability
Ask a qualified instructor about the actual location, conditions, supervision and equipment relevant to your ability. Confirm current access at Cloud 9 and whether the proposed break suits your skill level. A local rest day is a complete alternative.
Do not turn a booked lesson into an obligation to enter unsuitable conditions. Ask what happens if the provider changes the site or postpones. Keep the day’s meal close enough that an altered lesson does not create another long drive.

Days 3–4: a marine day and a different fallback
The Siargao Tri-Island Hopping Day Trip is an optional General Luna outing whose listed route visits Naked, Guyam and Daku islands. Confirm your accommodation pickup, food and access with the provider; it does not include a Manila flight or this entire five-day itinerary. Check PAGASA marine warnings and provider notices, since an advertised island name does not guarantee a permitted landing.
Keep day 4 for a separately checked land outing or a movable marine slot. A Sugba Lagoon plan uses different geography and arrangements from a General Luna island excursion. If conditions prevent the priority outing, use a worthwhile local day instead of replacing it with an unverified boat.

Day 5: leave without another boat dependency
Confirm the road pickup to IAO and the terminal or airline instructions from the actual ticket. Keep the final morning compatible with that approach. This five-day plan does not add a mainland ferry transit whose regional advice and onward flight have not been assessed.
Fin & Fin Beach Shack on Tourism Road in Catangnan lists Tuna Smash Cheeseburger, Fish Tacos and Seafood Chowder: contemporary restaurant choices for a General Luna day. Check the current menu and ingredients; keep the final airport departure independent of a distant lunch reservation.

Practical questions
Is General Luna at the airport?
No. IAO/Sayak is in Del Carmen and requires a separately arranged road journey.
Is Cloud9 automatically a beginner surf spot?
No. Choose a suitable site and conditions with a qualified provider.
Does the FCDO exception cover every mainland approach?
No. Read the entire actual transit route and current advice.
Can I guarantee the island tour by adding day 4?
No. A movable day helps planning but cannot guarantee conditions or access.

Does this experience fit your route?
Cleaner replacement for existing contradictory product; use for the marine day only, with the surf session and land alternative independent. Confirm the provider’s current meeting or pickup instructions and inclusions before booking.
