Romblon: choose the island before the marble and beach stay
Romblon province contains separate Tablas, Romblon Island and Sibuyan journeys. Tablas airport does not place you in Romblon town, and Alad is another island. A capital, marble and Bonbon visit works better with one coherent island base than a short plan joining every provincial landscape.

- Suggested time
- Give the capital and coastal outing their own settled day; extra islands need additional land or sea stages.
- Where to stay
- Romblon town, Romblon Island; Alad Island
- Season and timing
- Tides affect sandbar plans and sea conditions affect the island connections; preserve a town alternative.
The short answer
For the capital-focused visit, base on Romblon Island and confirm each extra land or sea leg independently. Allow time for a town meal and the coastal outing you actually choose. A Sibuyan mountain programme is a different trip, and a photo of a sandbar does not promise the tide conditions for your visit.
Make Romblon Island the capital-focused stay
Choose Romblon town for heritage and marble craftsmanship, then give a coastal outing such as Bonbon its own part of the day. A sandbar photograph is a reason to ask about tide and access, not a promise that the same scene will be available on arrival.
The province also includes Tablas and Sibuyan, each with different land and sea journeys. Keep a Sibuyan forest or mountain programme out of a short capital visit unless it is planned as a separate stay with its own access arrangements.
A Tablas flight still leaves another island journey
Tablas Airport, TBH, is at Tugdan in Alcantara on Tablas Island. For a Romblon-town stay, confirm the road connection and the actual ferry or boat to Romblon Island before choosing the flight; the airport name does not mean you land in the capital.
Alad is a different lodging choice for a dedicated dive or island stay. The local resort offers arrival coordination, but the road and boat legs still need confirmation for your dates. Send the property the correct airport or port rather than requesting a generic Romblon pickup.

Make time for the local food
What to eat and where to look
Sarsa
A Rombloñanon shrimp preparation named in government reporting.
- Where to look
- Ask the town restaurant or resort about an available cooked serving.
- Fit it into your day
- Consider as part of a settled meal before or after the coast.
Check shellfish allergens and the actual preparation.
Liswi
A local food name for edible shells.
- Where to look
- Enquire about today’s cooked shellfish dishes.
- Fit it into your day
- Order with the main meal if available.
Avoid assuming a raw serving is suitable; confirm cooking and allergens.
Gamus
A locally named jackfruit dish.
- Where to look
- Ask the actual dining venue which version it serves.
- Fit it into your day
- Consider alongside the main meal.
The precise recipe is unverified; ask for ingredients.
Ask about cooked local dishes at the base
Sarsa, liswi and gamus are documented Rombloñanon food names. Sarsa is a shrimp preparation, liswi refers to edible shells, and gamus is a jackfruit dish. Look for an available cooked serving at the town or resort where you actually stay.
Keep the main meal before or after the coastal outing instead of depending on a boat stop having a restaurant. A proposed market-to-cooking programme in Odiongan is not treated as a launched visitor activity or a capital restaurant reservation.

Choose a town route or a separate boat day
The local resort’s route descriptions distinguish Romblon town heritage from beach and island excursions around Bonbon, Logbon, Bang-Og and Alad. Ask which route suits the base and sea conditions rather than adding every island to the same programme.
For a boat outing, agree the return landing and your onward connection. Keep the final optional trip away from the airport transfer day, especially when the flight requires first reaching Tablas. Diving needs its own operator and equipment assessment.

Practical questions
Does TBH land on Romblon Island?
No. Tablas Airport is at Tugdan, Alcantara, on Tablas. Romblon town requires additional land and sea arrangements.
Is Alad part of a town hotel stay?
Alad is another island lodging choice and needs a separately confirmed boat transfer.
Can I count on walking out to the photographed sandbar?
No. Ask about current tide, access and conditions before the coastal outing.
Is the Odiongan cooking experience bookable?
The cited government account describes a proposed programme. A launched public booking has not been verified.
