Philippines 10 days: Cebu, Bohol and a return buffer
Ten days gives Cebu and Bohol time to become two stays rather than two rushed excursions. This route opens in Cebu City, moves to a Panglao base through a verified connection, separates an inland Bohol day from a boat day and returns to the departure gateway before leaving. It is for travellers who prefer two neighbouring islands to a nationwide highlights circuit.

- Suggested time
- 10 days; suggested 9 nights
- Where to stay
- Cebu City and Alona/Tawala, Panglao, with final gateway overnight
- Season and timing
- Check the forecast and route-specific official notices before each outdoor or marine outing. Regional climate patterns do not guarantee conditions on your travel date.
The short answer
Allocate days 1–3 to Cebu, day 4 to the complete Bohol transfer, days 5–7 to separate countryside, coast and optional marine plans, day 8 to flexibility, day 9 to the final gateway return and day 10 to departure. Confirm the actual port pair and travel date; OceanJet’s route identity does not supply a future timetable.
Days 1–3: Cebu without a boat connection on arrival
Arrange the CEB road transfer to the exact city hotel and keep the first meal nearby. Use the next two days for a checked heritage route and a separate food or neighbourhood block. A real Cebu City tour is worth comparing for context and pickup, not as transport to Bohol.
Lechon and other regional menu leads can shape one meal after confirming the current seller. Leave the third afternoon light enough to prepare documents, luggage and the next pickup.
Day 4: transfer all the way to the room
Verify the actual Cebu–Tagbilaran sailing, departure wharf, boarding requirements and arrival port with the carrier. Add road journeys on both sides. The Henann contact grounds an actual Alona/Tawala lodging area, but Tagbilaran port is not the resort entrance.
Keep day 4 a transfer day with dinner near the receiving property. If using a flight instead, rebuild the journey around the actual TAG ticket rather than retaining ferry pickup assumptions.

Make time for the local food
What to eat and where to look
Kalamay
Sticky rice/coconut sweet; dessert not full lunch.
- Where to look
- Bohol pasalubong shops along the Tagbilaran/Panglao portion of the trip; ask about current local products.
- Fit it into your day
- A Bohol land-day sweet or drink after a separate main meal, rather than lunch provisions for a ferry or boat excursion.
Ask about actual ingredients, availability and dietary suitability; no stock guarantee.
Peanut kisses
Peanut sweet; allergy and packaged ingredients checked.

Days 5–8: inland and marine days stay separate
Use one day for a checked countryside route including the Carmen hills area if conditions and access fit. Choose another day for Panglao coastal downtime. A Balicasag-related boat tour can occupy a separate early slot after current marine and site checks; advertised wildlife does not guarantee sightings.
Day 8 is useful for a rescheduled outing or a quiet meal. Do not assume that a listed Virgin Island component is unrestricted: the provincial announcement of 3 February 2026 records reopening under visitor guidelines, and trip-date notices still apply. Keep dietary questions separate from the tour name.

Days 9–10: return before departure
Return to the actual final flight gateway on day 9 using confirmed transport and keep an overnight there. If flying onward directly from TAG, replace the Cebu return with an appropriate Panglao departure plan; do not buy an unnecessary crossing merely to follow the numbering.
Use day 10 for the booked departure. The final outing is optional, while the airport approach is essential. Verify current conditions again if the route has changed.

Practical questions
Is day 4 a sightseeing day?
Treat it as the complete hotel-to-hotel transfer.
Can I fly from TAG instead of returning to Cebu?
Yes, if your actual ticket supports it; rebuild the final approach accordingly.
Are animal sightings guaranteed?
No. Respect provincial wildlife rules and provider conditions.
What is day 8 for?
A useful flexible day, not proof that a cancelled marine outing will operate later.
