Dumaguete and Siquijor 7 days: city base, island stay and return

A Dumaguete-and-Siquijor week is a two-base journey with an essential sea connection. This version opens with the city and boulevard, then gives San Juan several nights before returning to the mainland. It does not require an additional Apo Island excursion. Choose the exact Siquijor landing and receiving hotel before making the island stay non-refundable.

The short answer

Use days 1–2 in Dumaguete, day 3 for the complete Siquijor transfer, days 4–5 for separately checked island land or coastal days, day 6 for the confirmed mainland return and day 7 for departure. DGT airport is at Sibulan; the city road transfer and ferry journey are separate stages.

Days 1–2: arrive on the mainland

Arrange the DGT airport-to-hotel road journey and keep the first meal near the room. Bethel Guest House is at Rizal Boulevard, Poblacion 4, Dumaguete. Use the next usable day for the boulevard and a checked city block rather than heading immediately to another boat departure.

Keep a seated main meal in Dumaguete before crossing. On Siquijor, the provincial coastal route highlights Pan Bisaya, bibingka and torta as snack and dessert leads. Plan those stops around the island road route and a separate lunch; confirm ingredients and storage before carrying purchases.

Day 3: confirm the island landing before leaving

Use the genuine carrier channel for the exact Dumaguete–Siquijor service, travel date, luggage and boarding arrangements. OceanJet names both destinations, but its destination list alone is not a timetable or proof of every pair. Confirm the selected crossing independently.

Ask the receiving San Juan hotel which landing to use and arrange the road pickup. Solangon and Maite are actual San Juan lodging areas; choose the property first. The landing and the resort are separate stages; keep this a transfer day with a nearby dinner.

Where to look

Confirm current availability and ingredients with the seller; ask about allergens and dietary requirements.

Days 4–5: choose land and coastal days separately

A checked Siquijor land-tour product can supply a provider lead for heritage and inland stops; confirm its current origin and itinerary. Treat Lazi heritage access and any waterfall or marine stop as distinct condition checks, rather than promising unrestricted entry everywhere.

Keep another day near the chosen coast or for a suitable locally verified outing. Pan Bisaya, bibingka and torta are separate provincial food leads; ask a current seller about ingredients. Cultural healing traditions should not be described as medical treatment or efficacy.

Days 6–7: retain the mainland overnight

Return on day 6 using a carrier-confirmed service and keep a Dumaguete overnight before the actual flight. Check marine warnings and advisories early enough to respond if conditions affect the crossing. This plan does not promise a universal safe buffer.

On day 7 take the arranged road transfer to Sibulan airport. An Apo Island tour is an alternative mainland activity requiring its own boat approach, not an extra to attach between the essential return and flight. Preserve the exit even if an optional outing is missed.

Practical questions

Is the Siquijor hotel beside the ferry landing?

Not necessarily. Confirm the selected landing and San Juan road transfer.

Does the land tour include the ferry?

Only if the exact product confirms it; do not infer inclusion.

Is Apo Island included?

No. It is a separately planned alternative excursion.

Why return on day 6?

To preserve a mainland overnight before departure rather than depending on a final-day crossing.
